is a forensic child psychiatrist and a Professor at Emory University in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

Dr. Ash:

directs the Psychiatry and Law Service at Emory University,

directs the fellowship in forensic psychiatry at Emory (which occurs at a variety of sites)

teaches a seminar with readings,

is active in professional associations:

- Past President of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law,

- Past President of the Georgia Psychiatric Physician's Association

- Past President of the Georgia Council on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

writes, presents, and conducts research on issues in forensic psychiatry,

consults on legal cases,

posts various files that may be of some use to others, such as EndNote styles, manuals, PowerPoints, etc.,

is married to the psychologist and meditation guide, Meg Ash, Ph.D,

and, when not otherwise occupied, scrapes away on the cello.
